- 1863-64 Reports of the Joint Committee on Salt, submitted to the General Assembly. Of note, a 4-page partial report was made on October 30, 1863 and a 10-page final report on February 22, 1864 regarding the failure to deliver brine to the state furnaces by the contracted company. The committee recommended taking over various furnaces and wells in order to increase the needed supply of salt
