Summary
"[This book] explains the reference norms used by constitutional courts in different countries in order to protect the Constitution and fundamental rights. These norms are the benchmark for determining the validity of laws in constitutional procedures. [The author] refers basically to constitutional principles like democracy, equality, human dignity, liberty, separation of powers, pluralism, access to justice and due process. She also refers to constitutional jurisprudence and international conventions like the European Convention on Human Rights. The current constitutions of [the United States], France, Spain, Italy and Germany are analysed from a comparative perspective."--
